3000th YEAR ANNIVERSARY
CELEBRATION OF THE ZOROASTRIAN CULTURE AND RELIGION TO BE HELD
IN SINGAPORE
ON 28 - 29
MAY 2004
Dear members and friends,
The SINGAPORE and HONGKONG ZOROASTRIAN ANJUMAN
(as Co Sponsors) are going to Celebrate in SINGAPORE ON 28th and 29TH MAY
2004 UNESCO ASSOCIATED EVENT 3OOOTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ZOROASTRIAN CULTURE
AND RELIGION.
THIS IS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE OUR OLD
RELIGION AND CULTURE TO THE WORLD.
ON 28TH May, an exhibition of the Zoroastrian
artifacts specially loaned to us by Mrs. Phiroza J. Godrej, Mrs. Firoza
Panthaky Mistree, The Bombay Parsi Punchayat, and other private museums will
be showcased at the prestigious ASIAN CIVILISATION MUSEUM SINGAPORE.
Prominent Parsis from Mumbai and Hong Kong have
already confirmed supporting and attending the same.
The official opening of the Exhibition on 28th
afternoon will be done by Mr. Chan Soo Sen, Minister of State, Prime
Minister's Office & Ministry of Community Development and Sports along with
Mr. Fali Nariman, MP Rajya Sabha, Delhi India and Mrs. Phiroza J. Godrej of
Godrej Company Ltd.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS EXHIBITION IS TO MAKE THE
OTHER 8 RELIGIONS AND COMMUNITIES IN ASIA AWARE OF OUR OLD RELIGION AND
CULTURE.
We will be inviting as VIP the heads of all
the various Religious and communities in Singapore. On 29th May 2004, in the
morning eminent Zoroastrian scholars will speak and show slides on various
aspects of the Zoroastrian Culture and religion. In the evening we are
having a celebration dinner and the Guest Of Honor is H.E. Mr. S. R. Nathan
The President of The Republic Of Singapore.
We expect about 200 guests and members to attend,
the same.
We hope you will definitely make it a point to
attend and support the above function.
